I've found that, in living the life of a single, there's not much help to be garnered from most cook books and recipes. When the recipes always seem to call for 4-8 servings minimum, you wind up either overeating or with too much food going to waste. I'm sure I'm not the only person out there with that problem; even new couples will have that trouble, though they'll be able to eat through the leftovers faster than I should (whether or not I can is immaterial and, frankly, up for debate).
Still, I do try to find resources to help me plan my cooking more effectively, and to deal with cooking lighter or smaller without sacrificing cost effectiveness. Below is a link for one such site that I've recently uncovered, and I'd like to welcome any who read my journal to post helpful tips or links for those who, like myself as of this writing, have nobody to cook for besides themselves.

Facts: Green money comes from green leaves
It's really hard to catch turtles
People are compatible because they are compatible
Happy feelings makes you happy
If you're cooking salads for dinner, leave it in the oven

It was awfully nice of you
But Ill make sure to thank you since you're probably expecting something
I mean after all it would just be sexist of me to accept your pageview and not return the favor.
